Neighbors from Douglas Health and Rehab love spending time with family. Recently, Connie Carver was blessed with a surprise mini reunion with some beloved family members to celebrate the Fourth of July. Carver's family was so thankful to staff for the care of their loved one. Dear Mrs. Woods & Staff,
We, the family of Mae D wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Douglas Nursing Home. This group not only gave our Mother excellent medical care, but, they gave her their personal attention, care, and love. Upon the first day of entering Douglas Nursing Home, before the process of admission, Joyce Woods the Director, saw to Mother's needs and made her comfortable. At that point she guided us through the admission process. Joyce professionalism was evident in her skillfulness and knowledge of her field. We witnessed together as well as on individual visits the caring and loving attitudes of this Douglas Nursing Home staff. We must also add a special thank you to the kitchen staff for the preparation of delicious food which we enjoyed on many occasions. Once again we wish to express our deepest appreciation to this skilled, caring, and loving group of professionals. We will always feel privileged that our Mother was a "neighbor" in the Douglas Nursing Home family for almost five years.
